Wisdom's Worth
From the persona: The Thinker
Peaceful resolution is a gracious gift.

My heart keeps calling your name; yet, my mind objects.
I have looked at all before me, now your name, no more I desire.
In the face of reality; your nature has been summonsed.
How dependable adversity is; to expose our true self.

I gave you the key to my heart…
Yet, you broke in like a thief.
I gave you all inside of me…
Still; you stole it all in non-belief.

Somewhere deep inside; I know you are in grief.
“Wrong” is in the outcome, not measured by your intent.
We care more about how we look; than the value of being truthful!
Tonight, close your eyes; know… destruction was from your own hands.

What is it with people; how do they remain to be so blind, so foolish?
Like many before me; I lay all the truths out, with no one to see.
Words are read and truths spoken; but their minds, broken!
Insight is a rare commodity; evading fools always.

What of the greater good?
What of the right thing to do?
What of the sensible option in a situation?
I am a man; that stares stupidity in the face each day!

I stand in the street, calling wisdom to show her face.
I cry out for sanity, humanity and love; but the world remains silent.
No friend have I found; that truly understand the value of my words.
My cries are drowned out, by the noise of modern jungles and concrete giants.

What is the worth of wisdom if we can’t apply it to our lives; to live better and know happiness?
