How can one
live with no goal; no sense of direction? It is impossible, we have to feel that there is something to achieve. Doesn’t everyone have some moral standing on what is right and wrong? How would we guide our behaviour if no such parameter exists? We all strive to achieve some purpose, something we can be proud of. For some it is in their belief, what ever it may be. Others have a philosophy about how things are suppose to be. Well, the latter is me; I must believe that man will improve its state. Then you get those that engross themselves in sports or social activities. That is acceptable; I don’t completely get it, but it is important to them. Most seek the affection of that someone special in their life, a mate. Once again; the latter is me; I yearn for companionship on all my dynamics. I would like to believe that we have the ability to be fair. That is; to be fair and just without fear of any deity. We need to be good even when we remove ourselves from any religion. Now; I do believe in the God of my choosing and so should you. I have always found it so interesting; that we judge other on what we believe. But, now I see it as silly; the viewpoint of a fool. People form their behaviour and ethics based on their belief system. How could someone from a foreign religion adhere to the laws of mine? What does it tell another, when he is judged unfairly on things he doesn’t know? And; what does it tell him about the God of such a fool. I say respect others’ beliefs; and if you must judge, employ the laws of their religion. Even, if it is based on no religion, no moral standing; at least remain civil. In this day and age there are many who choose to have no God at all. Though it is sad, one has to respect the individual’s decision on this. I have seen how people impose their beliefs on those we call atheists. Members of my religion are most guilty of this. We have populated this world from corner to stone; educating others about our God. I do not say this is wrong; but allow the person a free choice. Come on! Think! How many have burned at the stake for not believing what we do? That is unjust and not even our God would approve of that. Today, just because there is no stakes, do not think that those people aren’t burned at all. We still discuss their matters; we frown and say, “Ag shame!” How can a lost soul ever find a home, if we do not leave the judging for our God? Think! What do others say about you, your religion and the God you love? These words here are not to force a religious viewpoint on you. It is an appeal for you to market and promote your religion with your behaviour. I am sure you have heard, “If that is what it is to be a ‘BLA’, I don’t want to be one.” The best way to live in harmony is to respect each others’ standing. Like me, you will not easily change your religion; know that it is true for all. Today there is so many that believe there is no God. The reason for this is because they have not seen Him in us. God is just a word to them or something people use to justify their actions. At this time there is a major war going on in the old world, Israel and Lebanon. I remember when the Palestinians where in conflict with Israel to. And, what is it all about… Well, I don’t really know, but think it has something to do with holy land. What if… all the major religions stemmed from the same thing? Different stories, prophecies and gospels from a single man? We have different names for the same thing across language. How different will a story from heritage be from one generation to the next? There are just too many questions with too many different answers. How pure is the Bible or Koran to its original source? How guaranteed is it that no one has tampered with that? Nothing is really certain; that is why it relies on faith. Like me, I expect that you will be immovable in your belief. You could get very upset should I challenge your doctrines. I am not doing that, but expect the same courtesy from you. Believe what you want, but do not force those view points on me. We are all here to experience a journey of learning and maturing. Therefore all of us deserve the same opportunity to pass through this life. I urge you to explore this life and absorb understanding. Do not prohibit me in any way to do the same. Our spirits are reaching out to gain from this life what it can. Then; maybe… we will meet with our God at the end of it all. Maybe, we were wrong and might have to face the fury of another God. All-and-all; we remain alone responsible for the choices we’ve made. |
