The Righteous
From the Persona: pROPHET
In a strange time he woke; in a world alike Sodom.
The iniquities of mankind have become an abomination in God’s eyes.
With a frock-like garment; he noticed how different he was from others.
He cast his eyes to the heavens, “God where have you sent me now?”

He traveled all over this world in a moment; drinking in every scene.
Parents selling their kids to sexual slavery; of God they speak no more.
He ventured into the temples; with the whip of Jesus in his hands.
Sunday church is now in the likeness of a trip to the mall.
There are books and music, Bibles too; like sacrificial goats of old.

He searched for a quiet place to pray; a place to receive guidance.
He settled down in a park, just to find the noise of planes passing by.
He lodged in a motel; but the neighbours TV was to loud.
And; in the church… the band was rocking just a little too loud.

He set out to find righteousness; starting at the top.
He found the leaders in meetings; only wanting to be heard.
Votes to be bought, their opinions can be swayed by the buck.
And down below, subordinates “too poor to pay attention.”
They are working long and hard; to pay their taxes on time.

He needed to find help; so he went to search for prophets like him.
None to be found… none to be found… only false as the Bible speak of.
He required a place to stay, food and drink; but was turned away like a beggar.
No place is there for God and God’s men; steak and wine, enough for them alone.

He shouted out, he cried; “God there is no righteousness to be found!”
God took him to a “home” where no father or mother can be found.
He settled down in the lounge, silence between all these children; how?
He prayed aloud, he prayed with a plea for the people of this time.
As he opened his eyes; a great group of children were kneeling down with him.

Righteousness has been found my Lord, in these un-spoilt children.
I understand why you have sent me here, make adults like these children.
I will walk this road, proclaiming the complexities in life in simple terms.
So, they will see, they will understand; the errors of their ways.”
