I know this might sound pessimistic, but I am sure all
feel like this at times. If I had to define “love” today; I would say: “Love is a promise of endearment; with the certainty of heart ache and disappointment” Yes, at best I define love as “superficial” today; I know you can relate. Love is not always this sorrow though. History have shown us that love can give wars new direction; even doom a nation. The love a man has for a woman, could cost someone his head; make a man endure endless torture or shame. Do not neglect the frailty of a man’s adoration. It is here I realize that, while men often scoff at women’s emotions, that a man can be encaged in a place where he does not wish to be; with his constraint consisting of love only. How crazy it is? A man is thus not as powerful; emotionally untouchable as some would lead you to believe. It is easy to argue successfully that a man is led by logic; his own logic, but logic none-the-less. This rings true for the reasons why a man opt to fall in love or share his live. It was a logic decision, carefully calculated; the pros and cons. A man will not easily part from this decision, for it will mean that he was a fool when he made the decision. How silly it is then that this loyalty to self will be the very foundation of that which would imprison him. There is one thing that is more senior to any other condition a man can find himself in; the claim that he is always right. So, even when a man is dreadfully unhappy; he would find reasons to justify sticking to his original conclusion. Then; this does not mean that he is happy with the outcome; well… just think… how often you hear men moan. This is a characteristic that women should thank God for placing in a man. For, with out it; no marriage would last past two years. See, a man sits in that relationship for years on end, totally unhappy. But, (remember I am a man); at least it is a good reason to moan all the time. Serious now, love is quite a different thing once you compare the viewpoints of men and women. By word… it seams to not even be related in any way. It is like comparing a tree to a stop sign; there is simple nothing in common. How do men and woman stay together for so long then? As usual, a little truth from me, with a little more punch than one would comfortably face. It is all about oneself; it is not in the nature of love itself; but the only reason people endure the adversities of love. Come on, no one is hearing your thoughts; admit it… it is all about yourself. Fancy thing this “love” we so cherish; sick how we have perverted it into something so one sided. |
