little closer; deep within these eyes you must look. Past the fields of colour; blue near green, gray it’s called. Gaze deeper still; venture into the black holes of my eyes. There to find, a universe new; untainted by what it’s seen. Never have you been to such a place; ruled by a choice to love. I visited the willow trees again today; they asked me to linger. Their thirst for life bearing water; similar to my yearning for peace. Root yourself near abundance; no longer will you thirst then. The grass is greener where the nutrients are plenty; it’s that simple. In the simple things lie contentment; complexity only confuses. If you look intently, awake your awareness to be observant; many lessons invite your acceptance; consider the options wisely. No justification is accepted; responsibility and forgiveness key. No more compulsion to be right; but a guarantee of understanding. Such a place, do not dwell from; for its comfort will calm you. One night I stepped outside, seeking the serenity I once knew there. No comfort was there in the monotones of night, still too much light. I sat myself down; searching for contentment, with nothing to be found. My mind is racing, speeding all the time; how to bring comprehension? No peaceful place; just silence screaming in my ears. I drift away visiting the rooms of possibility, reality behind a mask. I am tortured by the vision of children, living like adults; to their peril. I visit bathrooms where kids stand with blade in hand; cut… to feel alive. I beg you to journey with me through time and space; to the corners of this world. It’s not grand as you blindly accept; Come! Walk a mile with me. Grow young ones; drink your lessons in, make time not a foe. Don’t duplicate the miscalculations of man before your time. Live and love in fullness; and make honesty your friend. Be true; responsible for each effect you might and have caused. Respect; live in peace, through insight, with your fellow man. Stand a little closer; listen to the noises of my mind. Its sanity shouts like an insane man; pleading for offers. Solutions for untold problems with no ear left to hear. Bind your perception to my intention; marching a mile with me. For in our wake lies a better world; by love it be ruled. |
