| What is
life; rather what is the most important factor of life? Love is it. Love covers all; it encompasses everything needed to survive this life. In love lays the key to live life well. Love is related to care, you see. If you harness love, you’ll care enough to do things right. If you can care, really care; you can be kind and treat beings fair. With care, you won’t neglect your responsibility for all. There are many forms of love and magnitudes of it. Love it seems has many faces, with the least of it not having much love at all. Care scales in parallel with love; the less you love, the less you care. It is so calculated it is almost mathematical. My Teacher taught to love thy neighbour as yourself; and God above all. Love is the universal concept for righteous living; doing what’s good for all. It is in the directive, “Love thy enemy” that love is tested most. Here love is more than care; here love is rooted in what you are responsible for. Love and the measure of its intensity equals care; but not responsibility! Responsibility exists before love-and-care is measured. Life itself, is the mother of responsibility; the mother not a mother without a child. They are of the same blood, the same genes and so, directly related; mother and child. Where does care stand in relation to responsibility? “Care” is the daughter of “Love” as “Responsibility” is the child of “Life”. This brings “Care” and “Responsibility” similar as children. Are they related, I state they are; siblings if you want. What is the connection between “Life” and “Love” then? Are they the same thing? No; but they have been together so long, the one belongs to the other. They stand in a relationship; marriage if you please, the two have become one. What I have come to understand is hard to place in words. “Life” and “Love” stands to “Adam” and “Eve” as “Mankind” stands to “Exist.” Two have become one to establish something lasting across time. Mankind is prospering, yet existence is diminishing; why’s that? Mankind is a physical thing; a group of fleshy things. Its continuation depends on procreation; a popular pleasurable physical action. Existence, like its makeup of “Life” and “Love”, is a metaphysical supremacy. A spiritual thing; misunderstood by spiritual beings, who think they are only flesh. Life is questioned, yet not investigated and then explained by fables. Love has become perverted and is misunderstood as is true with her partner. Existence is on a downward spiral; while a legion of flesh is destroying our world. Mindless matter; confused, astray and yet… beings like me. I am standing in a hallway; staring at my friends in a room behind glass. In this room, the ICU, lays “Existence”, with “Mankind” down the hall. Will their illness infect me; will they ever regain their minds and know who they are? Will they remember how the Spirit and their flesh must be one? Man + Woman = Mankind. Life + Love = Existence. Existence + Time = Infinite Existence. Mankind + Infinite Existence = Harmonious Continuous Co-existence That is then some equations for those who are prone to analyze. I echo the words of my tutor, “Love is the greatest of all.” It is the glue that holds all things together; keeps everything sane. Love and Life; how awesome they are… if only they are understood. |
