Where is
the ways of yesterday, since I can’t get used to how it
is today. There was a time where the man was king of the castle, now a woman owns the UK. Times have changed and along with it the dynamics of life itself. Balance has been lost; all in the name of equal rights. The most important person in my young life would most certainly be my mother. She formed me, taught me how to respect a lady and my elders. My mother was the one to ensure that I studied at school; that I brushed my teeth. She would take me on a shopping spree, just to make sure that I look good. When we faced the realities of sibling rivalry, it is her that taught us to make peace. On a Sunday morning she would get us ready for church to learn about the Lord. I remember the day when we spoke of birds and bees; boy! that helped a lot. Where would I have been without her gentle education? I pity the kids of today, where mommy is ruling the roost; busy being the boss. I don’t negate the fact that she is capable, simply asking who has her hat at home. Will a stranger working for a buck consider the outcome of your kid’s life? It is not the same and it never can be; a mother wants to see a child excel. Many may consider me to be a chauvinistic pig; think as you please. My viewpoints are based on logic though; just how will these kids turn out? A PlayStation has been given in exchange for a rumble on the lawn. Think… how can kids have a balanced home without a mom that cares? Today’s kids are growing up in a very anti-social environment. They attempt to make friends just to stumble into troubled kids on pot, crack or coke. Where is this all going? Think again… what is a woman doing at work, when her kids are at home? Sure, you may ask why a man can not “chip in” or “lend a hand” and they should. I will be the first however; to admit that I am not capable of being a mom. I will standup and say that being a dad is just not the same as having a mom around. Think again… who is best equipped to prepare a child for life? Though these recorded words are merely my viewpoint, it makes a strong case. How much of the disasters in this modern day can be contributed to upbringing? Now, call me crazy or a chauvinist again; considering the madness of this world. Think… how important is a mommy at home? |
