Merry Christmas

It is time to be friendly; a time to be with loved ones and those you should love.
The end-of-the-year has silently crept upon us.
Another year is gone; behind us, stealing the time we thought we’d have.
So many things remain undone, incomplete and neglected.

But, here at the end of it, we have time to say hello to a friend.
We are left time to say an “I love you” or shy a sorry.
Could we fail this time, forgetting to love or to forgive?
Somehow, yes; for last year, some issues were left for this one and now that is gone too.

It is a Merry Christmas; a jolly time to do some major shopping, spend some tom!
We part with gifts for those we feel obliged to give something to.
Here is a little something to make you forget that I haven’t been around all year.
But… then; there are those gifts where we try to say, thank you for being in my life.

Did the gifts start with the three wise man; and in hind sight, how wise where they?
I value the little card on your gift the most; hoping to see the vocals of your love.
I want to know that you too are concerned with the times we did not have.
I yearn to know how we are going to change it; be closer in the New Year.

The greatest gift of Christmas is so often forgotten; that of Grace and True Love…
God’s love; sending His only Son on a path of rejection, hate and affliction
Christmas is about being thankful for what we have; how too have more next time round.
No… our gifts should not merely be that of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

In the birth of Christ lies the gift of life; and life in abundance.
May your year ahead be full of the riches God wants for His kids; the best, all the time!
This time is in remembrance of the birth of the concept of grace and forgiveness.
Give grace as Jesus gave and forgive with the spirit of how forgiveness was intended.

Do not postpone your emotional commitments until next year; be true to it now.
Say that you love someone; then prove it by being kind, understanding and supportive.
Make Christmas about more than presents and big meals.
Share a kiss and a hug with love; then… this will truly be a Merry Christmas.
