Imagine

Imagine a world unrestrained by human fabrications;
            a place where things are exactly what they seam.
How remarkable it would be, if a smile was unaccompanied by a knife behind the back;
            a world of handshake deals, where one’s word suffices.

I dream about this world where you can be, you.
Where there are no masks to hind behind, just the truth, good or bad; visible.
Yet, there can be freedom of expression and orientation here.
Gay’s can be gay; and individuals can have their say.

Like most I know, I shelter some of my wants and needs behind a mask.
I will not divulge them, as this world can simply not agree with all those points;
            but I will mention this: I would definitely test all beliefs’ claims to be fact.
It is silly to believe anything to simply be true in our current tainted world.

How do we really know that man came from ape or was completely rescued from sin?
Not that I don’t believe in these; simply, that the facts might not be as it is seen.
I do believe in good and bad; and that one should have the freedom of choice.
There should be no ostracizing for what we believe and solid facts should be to our avail.

I do believe in love; as many do, but agree not with how it is defined.
Unconventionally; I am jealous, for I have seen how easily one you love can part.
Love is not only something you feel, but a daily decision to care.
Be not fooled; being in love is a complete separate thing, as it requires no choice.

This world we live in is not that great then, but it is what we have.
And I; dwindle in dreams of my idealistic space and frame of mind.
How much further can this existence be permitted to decay?
Just when will man realize that they are heading the wrong way?

I love all those around me, but firstly I am true to myself.
I ponder on the accuracy of historians and scrolls of faith.
In my eyes most have been touched by deception; twisting fact to lies.
People argue without a real source point to stand on.

Have you heard the saying, “this world has gone mad?”
Well, it’s not quite true; for the world has been mad a very long time.
There is no hope if you consider mans record.
Somewhere something is instigating destruction of all that is pure and true.

How long can this carry on; how long?
This existence is nothing more than a ticking bomb.
