| Don’t we
all review the choices we have made in the past? In hindsight we often say that we would choose differently now. Wisdom comes with experience of the effect; effect of a choice made. We may never know just how wrong the other side might have gone. How is it that we can be so displeased with our current situation? We say we would have made different choices; paired up with other partners. What knowledge do we have of where that other road would have led us? Hindsight is a silly thing, because it can only include the result of choices already made. Wouldn’t it be grand if we had a computer that we could feed life’s problems in? You could sketch the situation and simulate the outcomes of each choice. That way, we could always make the right decision; for ourselves in anyway. But; we don’t have it so next best thing must suffice; our mind, the built in processor. We often dwell in the past; reviewing our decisions, but only the present really matters. Move your focus from the past; make sure the choices of today are met with greater care. If life was like a DVD player; rewind would be an option, but life only know, “play”. The present is what is real and the rest is left to regret and hope. I only regret those choices made where I had no choice at all; permitting undue influence. I hope and dream, mostly about being able to love and care forever; without worries. I dream about mankind embracing sanity again; hoping that I’ll be there to see it. For today though; I just want to be with those I love and make sure they know I do. |
