There is
one thing all have in common and that is “confinement.” Imagine the freedom we view birds to enjoy, yet their environment is mostly circumscribed to the sky. Fish have endless amounts of water to roam, but separate them from their environment and they soon expire. I am aware of this imprisonment in my life! Rules to oversee and control the unethical, bounds my liberty. Let’s just consider classification as an example; how that is displacing ones chances of survival. I hear the masses cry for freedom, whilst life silently imposes more barriers for them. Gradually all are being caged in, our freedom reduced to a mere illusion of that. Man’s psyche has been conditioned to support this. This delusion of freedom accepted in exchange for our basic human rights. How is equality a reality if it measures individuals against a criterion? How do you and I remain as an individual? Humanity is being inundated with technology, politics, concepts and religion. The elementary have become hard to apprehend. I am concerned about our ability to reason and compute solutions, for man’s mind has become too clouded with the insignificant. Most actions today are originated for personal gain. We live in an egotistical time! Thoughts of how something will enhance our condition of life; have been replaced by, “How to make a buck!” Have we gone mad? How are we going to preserve this existence for tomorrow? Have we become fools? Why do we allow another to represent us when “he” is all he cares about? I see our people a slumber. I perceive no responsibility at all. Do not cry for freedom, when you enjoy the security of your cage |
