Maybe, I
have been too hard on this existence; maybe I ‘m trapped
in an ancient time. It could be that I’m the one that is out of place; out of sync with this world. The possibility exists that my values and viewpoints are unworkable for this time. That’s okay; but, does it necessarily render my viewpoints wrong? I respect the fact that we are loyal to ourselves, most feed and clothe themselves. We align our existence with others like ourselves, forming friendships and love. This is all done with the greatest care; in order to safeguard our environment. We are strongly opinionated about matters; with conviction that we are right. People with similar viewpoints and values horde together; that’s the way we are. We fear what we don’t understand; and we don’t attempt to try and understand. Okay… I do attempt to understand and usually I do; like you, I do not always agree. But I try to view it from the other person’s viewpoint; it’s the only way it can work. How am I to find another like me? I have searched for someone like me and just can’t find another alike. I have friends and I have someone to share my life. But; no one with similar viewpoints or beliefs; I have a diversity of interesting friends. I handle each person as an individual; finding the many beauties each possesses. Some of them are intellectuals, others emotional; but all of them special. There are some that are driven by faith, then some by greed; but all actually good. Just because someone is different to who we are, doesn’t make them bad. See, deep inside we believe we are of good intention and you are. But… that is a trait that almost everyone shares; it is just easier to see your own. If your intention is good and someone else’s is different; it must be wrong, but its not. It is the black-and-white system we inherited; no insanity in that, just misunderstanding. There are more viewpoints than our own; many ways to analyze any one situation. We make conclusions on what we know; the more we know; the better we do it. Try to understand each other and be not so hasty to judge the other wrong. We imprison each other with the way we want the other to be; to behave. Live your life in freedom; live life as you please, as long as it doesn’t hurt anything else. Then… allow others to do the same. |
