Bad day

Today I experienced something very interesting; not new, but seen anew.
What is it with people that they take it for granted that one should be nice?
Surely, we have the right to get upset, withdraw ourselves or be happy.
Then; we have to face the consequences of that decision.

So, I do not have a problem with people being rude; it is their right.
However I do not have to accept it; or be at effect of it.
If you feel for some reason that less or no communication is okay, it is.
Then, do not be upset when I refuse your next attempt to talk to me.

I for one, do not like rude people; people that consider they can choose when we talk.
I do not like my efforts to converse with another to be blown off for what ever reason.
In my opinion that is rude; and though I respect your choice, know that I have one to.
There are only so many times that I will allow you to shove me one side.

I am a great follower of free will, free speech and self expression.
I challenge most laws and traditions passed on from one generation to the next.
I expose the silliness of some human behaviour, like the unspoken expectation.
However; I do believe in harmony and mans ability to master it alone.

It eludes me why it is okay for all to suffer when only one is in a foul mood.
One person upsets another and every one else must pay; silly isn’t it?
Often you will find that the disgruntled can not face the one who caused the upset.
So, this inability to confront; then has a knock on effect, where all others must be wrong.

Here is the agreement; you may get as upset as you please, but don’t expect me to smile.
You may block off all communication; just don’t expect me to listen to you later.
If you are rude to me, I will label you as “rude”; and have nothing to do with you again.
However; I am one who believes in forgiveness, so an apology will go a long way.
