My being
woke up when I was only 18 years old. Like a baby I explored new things; I tried to walk. The world I discovered was a mean and ill tempered one. It was clear that I would have to fight to survive it all. I was weak, but saw many who were still a slumber. I was better of than them, not better than them. On the other side I saw the strong, suppressing others to remain ahead. They are fearful that someone stronger might awake. You see, this life has many stages. As a child, you are at your brightest ever, but asleep none the less. When you awake and see life as it is, you choose to take part or go back to sleep. You continue to wake up from time to time; having many chances to take control. The real world is a hard one to confront. Here everything is up to yourself, how well you do and the integrity you do it with. The games are tricky, the rules cumbersome and complex to learn. Many give up and can solely get through it by forcing God to play alone. We are supposed to take part in this life; play its games with vigor. We draw our strength from God; let Him determine the game plan. If we don’t take part, we force God to play the game by Himself. What good is our existence then? Like refugees we gather and request His blessings, to recharge our batteries. We sit, stand or dance around; listening to His Word without hearing a single thing. He calls on us to live, to be alive and fulfill what we where placed here for. Like a patient in a comma, on a drip; we stay helpless, draining more from Him. My God is strong, carrying the dead weight of those He loves, while they slumber. He fights evil with the parts of Him not burdened by carrying us. Like addicts we just keep on taking, draining power from Him; giving nothing in return. We are prolonging this battle, by not waking up; by not fighting with our God. Evil and its helpers use slumber darts. With these they try to hit as many woken ones of us as possible. It is the only way evil stands a chance. Keeping the weight on God; knowing He won’t let go of anyone. I shouted, “Lord, give me amour and tell me where You need me at.” He said, “Wake them up, and tell them to help. They must assist you in waking the others. You need not take up the sword. Stop them from draining so much of My Blood. I need My strength for evil is getting strong. It has captured too many fallen friends.” The picture is frightening I know, but God left the rules to life in His Word. As you grow, you will come to know these are also written on your hart. The core of it is simple to understand; care for each other and love God with all. You know how to survive; you’ve got directions on how to make your choices. My God draws His strength from our praises, our prayers for His exaltation. He loves hearing that we wish His kingdom to come. He adores the ones trying their best to live according to His Word. They bring Him relief and give Him renewed strength to fight evil. Just because He will forgive you your sin, if you should sincerely ask; does not mean that you can sin as you will. Our sin draws blood from Him, reducing His strength to fight in the battle at hand. If you love Him, you will try your best not to sin. If you forgive others, your salvation is less expensive for Him. I sometimes wonder if His people love Him at all. I weep for His agony; the things we put Him through daily. ‘Not-knowing’ is just not a good enough excuse anymore. Forgive me if my love and compassion is less than His. I see my God taking un-comprehendible blows, while we continue to sin. I see Him endure this regardless, whether we declare our love for Him or not. I want to tend to His wounds, bring Him any relief I can; but I am too small. Do you love my God and do you understand the actions of ‘love’ itself? How do you express that you adore Him? To cherish Him, means to be fond of Him; to be attached to Him. It is an affectionate thing, how do you care for Him? Please wake up? Explore your emotions; become aware of Him. His qualities are bound to leave you in awe. Take some responsibility; live the life He gave you. My God has empowered you with intellect, wisdom and foresight. He has blessed you with unique talents to play a certain role. If you don’t know how; love one another at very least. Make life better for others, without expecting something in return. By caring for the ones He loves, you have made your existence worth while. Attempt at least, to see the bigger picture; don’t get lost in your own life. As His people becomes aware of their condition; so He experience relief and smiles. Please love my God enough to care about Him and who He holds dear. Stop focusing on the petty, have mankind’s welfare at heart. I don’t mean that you should support the lazy, but want you to lend the weak a hand. People lack understanding of life, and their assumptions are ill advised. Make a difference right where you are, together we’ll make it count. Treat one another as you would want to treat God. Don’t pray to people, but serve them in love. Don’t be a doormat; selfish people will take advantage of that. Selfish people are still asleep: Wake them up! Take special care of children; equip them with knowledge and skill. Shower them with affection, but don’t let them get out of hand. Tend to the elderly, for they paved the path for us. Ask the question “Is this how I would like my life to end?” Share only your knowledge, love and time; keep your confusion for yourself. Consider animals and your environment in all you are involved in. By doing all that, you’ll be closer to where God wanted you at. All it takes is a decision to care and the intention to live your life like that. Then, God’s peace and blessings will reside with you. You will truly feel alive and find it easy to smile. |
