A new viewpoint on life

Be still; reflect on who you are, but be honest in doing that.
Now… if your soul is at peace, this poem will be calm; just as it was intended to be.
If you feel anxiety, duress, fear or a sense of restlessness; let me attempt to calm you.
Really try to connect to your inner core, disconnect from all other forces.

You are one of a kind; true in that, others often seams alien.
You are a good person; for you try to do what is right for all, from your own estimation.
You do care about others, if you are honest with yourself; and would rather have things peaceful, when they are not.
So often you might have tried to achieve this, with a greater or lesser degree of success.

Have you felt that you have been placed on this world incorrectly; that the people here are somehow different than you?
You might even have been frustrated, with the inability to bring someone else to understand what you said or meant.
I can relate to you on this level, for I have seen, observed and thought about the same things.
I estimate that most humans experience this at some time.

You are aware of the chaos that surrounds you, maybe you’re even part of it; yet it seams so misplaced.
If others could only see things from your standpoint; life would be easier, maybe even a sweeter experience.

Life should be simple; but it appears not to be.
Everything should be calm; but it is not.

You want to be loved and appreciated; and then… love and appreciate at least one other.
You want to do the right thing all the time; but like others you flub so often.

We hunger for serenity; don’t we?

Peaceful times are scarce in this busy, noisy and crazy life.

When do we get to spend some time with ourselves; for the quiet times that remain, are often assigned to God?

All the things mentioned above is true to some degree; however these are all things we can control.
When we can not change it for social benefit; then there should be a level of acceptance; or tolerance at least.
If these handlings are not successful, the remaining option is to disconnect from the source of unhappiness.
Though the last handling brings great relief; it is usually followed by a requirement of major change.

This world is less than perfect… for now in anyway.

We want things to be perfect, but this is still impossible; merely the multiple factors involved, complicate it to confusion.
Surely we can only handle life to the best of our ability; but then, there is an expectation to increase our abilities.
There exist then, a social responsibility on each and every one of us; whether we know this or agree with it, or not.
Every single being on this planet longs for the ideal conditions sketched above, to some degree at least.

Would it not be grand if someone permitted you this?

If granted peace and serenity; calmness even if it is for brief periods, such a source would be a friend.
You would have great admiration, affinity and good will towards such a being.
You would consider such a person as, one in a million; cherish the time spent together.
You would be kind, helpful and co-operative with such a force.

Why then not be such a person for others, as it would calm your environment down significantly.
